Babushkas Restaurant is a Russian restaurant in Tampa, Florida, founded by a Russian family to share traditional flavors and culture. Inspired by their move to the United States, they created a warm, welcoming space where guests can enjoy homemade Soviet-era cuisine and experience a comforting sense of belonging — especially those far from home.

Problem
This business started as a family-run restaurant, which meant there was no allocated budget for professional brand development. The logo was created in-house using available resources, without a clear strategic foundation. The restaurant also lacked defined positioning and a cohesive brand identity. Establishing that clarity — from visual language to strategic direction — became the core objective of this project.
Solution
After learning the story behind the restaurant, we clearly defined the creative direction of the design. We identified key brand adjectives, clarified the mission, and articulated the restaurant’s meaning and value to establish a strong and focused brand positioning.
